Historic Sites Survey

The Frederick Haring House

Frederick Haring, who built this home in 1752, was a prominent man of the community during Colonial times and served as First Lieutenant of Captain Eckor's Company of Foot in the Orange County Regiment of Militia. The house remained in the Haring Family's possession until 1928.

   

             


The Haring-De Wolf House

The Haring-De Wolf House is the oldest existing house in Old Tappan, and has remained in the same family possession since it was erected circa 1720.

                


The John Haring Jr. House

The John Haring Jr. House was built circa 1836 by John Haring, Jr.  It is an example of Greek Revival architecture and retains many of its original features.
